We are approaching a magical season, beginning with Samhain (pronounced “sow - en”) and lasting through Twelfth Night, October 31 through January 6. This is a season that opens when the veil between the world of form and the world of spirit is thin, and we can connect with those who have gone before for guidance, strength and inspiration.
This season traditionally continues as we have time to reflect on the year that is drawing to a close and consider our plantings and our harvest of this past year. We dive deep into planning what we Desire to plant, create and bring to harvest in the coming year, as we go through the darkest days of the season, approaching the turning of the year on Winter Solstice, December 21.
Yet, our modern culture and lifestyle of the “holiday season” will pull us into an often over-abundance of outward activities that can dominate our time and create imbalance with the natural rhythm of this season and within ourselves.
In this month’s circle, we take time to intentionally connect with the original flow and rhythm of the season, and draw down strength as we consciously remember and honor our spiritual foremothers - those women who have inspired, nurtured and strengthened us on our spiritual path. Whether our mothers by birth within our family lines, or women we have chosen for personal reasons, we will remember and honor them this month, in this circle of preparation for the season ahead.
You are warmly invited to join us in our virtual Sophia Women’s Circle!
